Career Services & Work Experience Terms
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These terms govern UstackSchool career services (career coaching, CV and LinkedIn support, mentorship and job-search guidance) and the Work Experience Residency. By using these services you agree to these terms.
1. Scope of services
- Career services may include career coaching, CV and LinkedIn optimisation, interview preparation, portfolio review, personal-branding guidance and job-search support.
- Work Experience Residency is a structured, project-based learning experience in which you work on realistic business problems within a project team, produce deliverables, and receive mentorship and feedback.
- The exact services included depend on the programme or package you purchased, as described on the relevant page.
2. Not employment; no guarantee of outcomes
- The Work Experience Residency is a training and work-experience programme. It is not employment, an internship contract, or a promise of employment, and it does not create an employer–employee relationship. No wages, salary or employment benefits are payable.
- You may accurately describe the programme, the project, and the work you personally completed on your CV and profiles. You must not misrepresent the experience as paid employment with UstackSchool or with any partner unless an actual employment relationship exists.
- We do not guarantee any job, interview, salary, promotion, visa, or other outcome. We provide guidance and experience; results depend on your effort and factors outside our control.
3. Projects and partners
- Projects may be professionally designed simulations, internal projects, or — where available — projects contributed by industry partners. The project type is identified before or during onboarding.
- Where a project involves a partner or third party, you agree to follow any reasonable rules, confidentiality requirements and deadlines communicated for that project.
4. Your obligations
- Participate actively, meet deadlines, collaborate respectfully with your team and mentors, and use the professional tools provided.
- Behave professionally at all times. Harassment, discrimination, dishonesty or disruptive behaviour may result in removal without refund.
- Keep confidential any non-public information, project briefs, partner data or participant information you access, during and after the programme.
5. Intellectual property
- UstackSchool (and any partner, where applicable) owns the briefs, frameworks, materials and platforms used in the programme.
- You retain the right to use, in your personal portfolio and job search, the original deliverables you personally produced — provided you respect any confidentiality or partner restrictions notified to you.
- Where a project is contributed by a partner, ownership and permitted use of the resulting deliverables will be as notified for that project.
- You grant UstackSchool a non-exclusive licence to use agreed or anonymised examples of your work and outcomes for teaching, quality and marketing where you have consented.
6. Testimonials and outcomes
If you share a testimonial, outcome, or success story, you grant us permission to use it (in whole or in part, with attribution where you agree) across our website and marketing. You can ask us to stop using an identifiable testimonial at any time.
7. Fees, cancellations and refunds
Fees and payment terms are as stated on the relevant page and in our Payment Policy, which governs cancellations and refunds for career services and the Work Experience Residency.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UstackSchool is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, opportunity or earnings arising from the career services or Work Experience Residency. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Data protection
We handle your personal data under our Privacy Policy. Where you ask us to share your CV or details with a partner or employer, you consent to that sharing for that purpose.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version in force when you purchase applies. These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
